Today I wanted to take a minute to acknowledge all the people that help to make DoTheDaniel.com a success around the world. It’s not just the #DTDteam as we continue to grow and expand, but it is also the friends and family that support us. It’s you the reader, and of course the brands that work with us to make us look and feel our best. At the end of the day, I spend a lot of time in the public eye and I want to always feel my best. That being said, as I’ve gotten older, I have come to realize that the choices I make should be responsible ones. From supporting eco-friendly and socially responsible brands such as Outland Denim (click here to read about them if you haven’t yet) to the salon I frequent to keep my wild head of hair tamed, life is about making the right decisions lately. So it’s why I am excited to announce that we’ve partnered with worldSALON here in Toronto as our salon of choice. And there are quite a few reasons why this change is for the better. Who Run The World?
As 2018 comes to it’s final few months and I prepare for the next chapter for the #DoTheDaniel team, I am reminded that so many inspiring and powerful women have helped to shape and share this around the world. With some pretty incredible events coming in the month of November, I always find it important to celebrate the ones that I want you to come along with us to. Every year since launching the blog with some of the most inspiring women I know, we have attended and supported Dress for Success Toronto in their endeavour to help the world be a little brighter. Consider the current climate, I feel like now more than ever, it’s important to celebrate the women who inspire us. And you can do just that with us on November 14th right here in Toronto! It’s Time To Join Your Crew
It’s been almost five years since I launched DoTheDaniel.com, and as the blog and it’s team have grown and evolved, I have been so proud to be a part of some pretty monumental moments and experiences. When all is said and done at the end of the day, it is the work with charitable organizations around the world that I am most proud of. As both a successful business and the face of it, I believe it is my responsibility to share moments and topics that need your help alongside all the excitement. Since day one, I have been such a huge fan of the work SickKids– and now that it is time to build a new SickKids, I need you to join me and your crew to help us change the lives of countless Canadian children. Baby Steps In The Right Direction
Had you asked me in 2007 when I graduated from University where I thought I would be at 35, I would have told you working for one of the biggest talent agents in Canada representing Canadian artists. That or being Catherine’s manager on her sold out world tour as my favourite vocalist. Thankfully life kept Catherine & I together, but the universe had other plans for me when it came to my career path. Over the last eleven years, I have held a lot of different jobs. Being an entrepreneur is amazing and I love it, but it doesn’t always offer the financial stability that a “9-5” does, and so it’s why this year I’ve really started to take my finances more seriously. From purchasing life insurance (see that post here), to saving for a baby, I really want to make the steps I need towards the things I want most in life.
