Family Lifestyle | Styled by FASHIONIGHTS

If there’s one thing I will freely admit, it’s that I have a shopping problem. I just can’t resist clothes for Lyric! They’re all soo cute and small and fun and now, stylish! I know all you moms-of-boys are out there thinking, “ya, cute and stylish stuff for GIRLS.”. Boys’ clothes has come a LONG way, and I’m finding more and more ways to create style out of Lyric’s wardrobe. Seeing as there are so many ways of styling all over printed shirts, I have actually enjoyed seeing what I could pair my kids’ clothes with. It wasn’t as hard as I initially thought, but that what’s fun about fashion. Now, if there’s something else about me, it’s that I like a good deal, you will always find me in the clearance section first! I currently have bins of clothes for Lyric up to size 10 (he’s 3), no joke. HAHA! I told you.. it’s a problem! One of my FAVOURITE stores to shop for him is, hands down, H&M. Their clothes are extremely reasonably priced and CRAZY stylish! I have been known to drive hours just to shop at H&M! (hallelujah we FINALLY got one here in Ottawa!)

Family Lifestyle | Surfs Up!

If you know me at all, you know that I wear flip flops ALMOST year round. As soon as I see a peek of grass in the spring, they’re on, and I don’t take them off until the snow sticks. Yep, it can be snowing and I’ll have my flip flops on, it has to actually stick and stay. What can I say? I’m a creature of comfort. So, of course being a single mom, and the primary influence on Lyric, he too loves his flip flops (and knows to coordinate them with his outfit)!! When I heard about Sanuk, a company that makes “shoes” using a sandal base, I was already sold! Sanuk is the Thai word for “fun” and it’s what the brand is all about!

Lifestyle | OBEY Clothing

I love the idea of fashion as a lifestyle in the fact that you can pick and choose your clothing to best suit who you are. Take me for example, I switch my clothes to adapt to my day to day.  I work a 9-5 job and then lead the life of a blogger from 5-whatever it takes. I require a vast wardrobe to keep up with my busy life and schedule. That and of course to look good while doing it. I am after all the other half of FASHIONIGHTS.

Kind of like the idea of a paper doll (thank you Amanda for the amazing graphic above!) one of my favourite switches and addition to my personal paper doll closet is the iconic OBEY clothing.
