That holiday countdown is on and I am absolutely still shopping for the people in my life. When I was younger I was so proud to finish shopping and wrapping before December even started but as I have gotten older, I’ve realized that life gets busy. For those of you out there still shopping I thought I’d share some upgrades that you could use in your life this year. Because as Mama Ru says, “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?”
Maybe it’s the fact that in 2023 I will simultaneously be turning 40 and the blog is turning 10 years old – I’m a big fan of making sure things like that line up in life – but I’m all about self-improvement and upgrades. Physically, mentally, and emotionally I am stepping it up and the items and brands in my life are a reflection of that.
First up, a new Fitbit. For years I’ve shared that Fitbit is the wearable device for me in light of many competitors, and this year is no different!

It goes without saying that I’m obsessed with Google and our new Google Pixel devices – having got a Pixel 7 Pro for myself and a Pixel 7 for Julio.
As reported in Forbes “The rear photos show that the distinctive and unique camera bar will be retained on the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, with the main difference that the bar will switch from all-glass to metallic. Two cameras for the Pixel 7 and three for the Pixel 7 Pro are clearly visible in the images Google has shared.
