Wait a minute.. didn’t I just write something similar about Toronto? Why yes, I absolutely did and you can click here to read it as well depending on which city you’re celebrating in. Being that I am in between both for work and to spend time with my husband while we do the long distance thing, it only made sense to give Ottawa the attention it so deserves now that I’m back. Not to mention all the excitement that we all so desperately need with patios re-opening and a slow crawl towards the summer months and some sense of freedom. So how are Julio and I celebrating Pride in Ottawa? Let me share the fabulousness with you all!
Let me give you all a little bit of context about my renewed love for Ottawa and everything I am sharing from it as the city I call home. Ten years ago I left for Toronto, and honestly thought that I would never look back. I had a specific vision of what my career goals and personal goals were, and Toronto was the end-all-be-all in my mind. Fast forward to December 2020 and I knew I was accepting a full time position in Ottawa, knowing that it would be the step we needed to take to save for adoption in a much faster way. Yes, for those of you only hearing the news now, Julio and I are actively working towards starting our family in the next two-ish years.
Pride Month is one of my absolute favourite times of the year because I am live my most authenticate self. We knew that Julio would be able to come visit and I wanted to put together the most fabulous experiences for us to share together. Similarly to Toronto, we have a Fairmont property downtown that offers experiences like no other hotel in the city.
