For those of you who follow along with Julio & I on social media, you’ll have seen that in partnership with Marriott International and Marriott Traveler, we recently took a trip to Halifax. I also realized that this marked a trip to both the east and west coast of Canada as we continue to #TravelWithMarriottCanada. That’s a huge accomplishment for us, and with so many beautiful cities and properties to visit, we couldn’t be more proud to continue to share our adventures with you. Stay tuned as Catherine continues to share her west coast experiences on the blog soon! And of course, in case you wanted to see the blog post I wrote for Marriott Traveler, click here. I wanted to share some of my favourite moments from the trip and why I think that all Canadians should experience Halifax for themselves this year! Did I also mention that there’s an amazing contest that you can enter to experience a similar trip for yourself? I’ve got all the details for you!
So where did we go and what did we do? Let me take you on a trip down memory lane with some of our posts from social media below!
Amidst an amazing day exploring Halifax for @marriottintl, I knew it was important to visit the Canadian Museum of Immigration 🇨🇦 Both @fashionights and my mom are first generation Canadian, si I’m always inspired by their journey. Not to mention, it provided me with even more reasons how we #StandForCanada that #DoTheDaniel is working on. #Canada150 at every turn! 😉❤🇨🇦 #TravelWithMarriottCanada
It has been a whirlwind trip to Halifax; one that reminded me how beautiful Canada is from coast-to-coast 🇨🇦❤ From @eastcoastlifestyle, to whale watching in Halifax harbour, @fashionights and I had an incredible time! I’m also so proud that #DoTheDaniel has explored the east and west coast with @marriottintl with many more adventures to come! #TravelWithMarriottCanada
The trip helped to remind me how much I love Halifax, and Canada. It has been over ten years since I had last visited this east coast city, and sharing that with Julio (who had never been before) was so inspiring. Seeing the city through the eyes of someone who has never been allowed me to see it anew. We also were lucky enough to create this incredible video showing our adventures!
For those of you planning to #TravelWithMarriottCanada yourselves this year, I encourage you to stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott Halifax since it’s proximity to the city center makes it ideal for those of you looking to explore like we did. But I also wanted to take a minute to tell you about the exciting new contest that Marriott International has launched in time for #Canada150!
Marriott’s Epic Canada Adventure Sweepstakes has officially launched at MarriottCanada150.dja.com. The contest period will last four weeks and winners will be determined on July 24. Marriott will choose five contest winners from Canada and the United States. All you have to do is head to the above website and click on which destination you would like to experience for yourself! Each contest winner will receive a trip for two, which includes: one hotel room, flights for the winner and one guest and $1,000 CAD spending money. BEST CONTEST EVER. (full contest rules and regulations can be found here)
I cannot wait to share in more exciting travel with the Marriott family as an official partner and encourage you all to share this exciting contest with your friends and family. Make sure to follow @MarriottIntl & @MarriottRewards on Twitter & Instagram. To share your inspiration and special moments, make sure to use the #MarriottRewards and #YouAreHere hashtags.
