Toronto’s First Certified Organic Juicery

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about green juice. Okay, so I know that may not be a normal thing to say, and that a part of the reason is because I’m a nutritionist – but I mean, come on… green juice is pretty awesome, right? There are so many different recipes out there for everyone, from green juice for runners to green juice for people trying to lose weight! I can’t be the only person who actively searches out great ways to help support their health on a daily basis, while on the go. And no, it doesn’t have to be only done by drinking all of the green juice. There are fantastic options out there to help you along the way!

One of my favourite healthy-support hot spots is Village Juicery, which just opened it’s newest location in Yorkdale. Founded in Toronto, they offer fresh, certified organic, cold-pressed juices and plant-based foods. One of the coolest parts is that they’re all staffed by nutritionists like me! Their award-winning menu is designed with quality and nutrition at the top of mind. Some of my favourite items other than the fresh-pressed juices include: the hot immunity elixirs (like the 7-Hour Wild Chaga Cider… omg), breakfast jars, kombucha, fresh salads, nutritious snacks and hot soups.

And because they’re chock-full of health professionals, they offer complimentary cleanse consultations and various nutrition-focused seminars. You can also sample their products – which is my favourite part because I just love trying all of the things! Also, this way you can find exciting ways to try new health products that you may not normally get the chance to try. Like Rhodiola or Blue Majik (no, I didn’t make these names up).

Now, I have to be honest here, my friends. I’m not a huge proponent for juicing, as I do always believe that eating the whole fruit or veggie is the best option. But, I appreciate how much nutrition can be packed into a bottle of this stuff, when done properly. And that’s another reason why I love Village Juicery. Because they’re not willing to compromise on health, they believe in perpetuating the education aspect – where your food comes from, how it’s used to optimize your health, and how to make the most out of what you’re consuming.

So, be sure to check out their newest location the next time you’re at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. You can be sure that some healthy fuel will help you to make the most out of your shopping experience!
