I like to believe that life is about experiences rather than belongings. I am far more inclined to want to plan a trip or romantic meal with Julio. This Valentine’s Day, I have decided that Julio & I need a break and some well deserved quality time together. Over the last year, as I have been travelling for work, I have been avidly collecting Marriott Rewards and saving them for something special. I love how my hotel stays in Canada accumulate points that I can use around the world! SO this Valentine’s Day I am surprising Julio with a trip full of romance and beautiful experiences. Who says that romance is dead?
For those of you who remember, we announced our partnership with Marriott Rewards in 2016. Though I can’t reveal the details of the 2017 just yet, I can tell you that Marriott Rewards members should be excited for everything we have planned this year. I love sharing all of our amazing destinations with you when we travel the world. This year, as we continue to grow the team, you’ll be seeing even more content from around the globe here on the blog and on our social media channels. With #Canada150 & #Montreal375 excitement across the country, now is the perfect time to get out and enjoy our beautiful country. I know that a lot of us are on a budget (saving for a baby is expensive!) but the ability to use your Marriott Rewards in conjunction with or instead of dollars really allows a freedom and flexibility like no other. Though I’m not quite at the point yet where I can say that I can take our private jet to Paris for lunch (could you even imagine?!), I do believe that planning for affordable travel and experiences is made easier than ever in 2017. Moreover, one of my best friends told me a few weeks ago that it has never been easier to secure cheap private jet flights as long as you are prepared to do some research online. So, who knows, my dreams of flying via private jet might become a reality one day soon. Ultimately though it is my reward to myself to see the world with Julio and those I love. And I we continue to be more and more connected online, I find myself following along in the travel adventures of people around the world thanks to social media!
