Events | The three reasons we are attending Bud Light Digital Dreams

Festival season has officially kicked off and music fans of all ages are gathering to see their favourites artists and acts. You’ll remember that last year I attended my very first Bud Light Digital Dreams (click here to read my thoughts and first impressions) and quickly learnt why Canadians from across the country gather together in Toronto to attend. I am excited to announce that this year Julio & I will be attending again for an even BIGGER #DigitalDreams with some of the biggest names of electronic music coming to town on July 2 & 3.

The funny thing about me is that I seem to do a lot of things backwards, but always end up finding my way. I didn’t get into festival culture until I was into my late 20’s (not the average age I learned very quickly). That being said, I also appreciate that festivals such as Bud Light Digital Dreams bring together electronic music fans from coast to coast of all ages and walks of life. I have three reasons why this year I’ll be attending again for the iconic festival!

Fashion

Yes, I said it, #fashion. Normally I would leave this topic to Julio as the fashion expert, however this year #DigitalDreams has collaborated with Toronto based fashion label Peace Collective. Limited edition festival merch is available that fashion and music lovers alike can appreciate and get their hands on. I have already purchased the iconic “Toronto vs. Everybody” tee because I fell in love with it from it’s successful launch and can’t wait to get mine own #BudLightLiving clothing before attending the festival. “An exclusive line of apparel for the festival has been created, including a unisex hoodie, a unisex tank top, and two unisex t-shirts. Many more collaborations will be announced as the festival date approaches. Official festival apparel can be purchased at the Bud Light Digital Dreams Merch Store

Food

What a lot of people don’t realize is that the food culture in Toronto is always ready to be a part of festival season to feed the masses. Though I can’t share with you yet what Toronto institutions will be on site, I can assure you that feeding yourself while you stay hydrated throughout the festival will be a treat. Considering I’ll be spending full days there with Julio, it’s not just the international acts that I am looking forward to, but also the meals I will be enjoying to keep my energy going all day long.

Speaking of, this year will once again see the cashless wristband system in place. To pay for food, merch and other essentials during #DigitalDreams, having the convenience of payment with a tap of your wrist makes lineups move quickly and allows you to spend more time watching the acts you’ve been waiting for all year!

“The festival is working with Front Gate for the first year, to adapt to fan’s needs by sending festival guests their wristbands in the mail ahead of the festival and allowing them to register for a cashless experience. All festival-goers can link the wristbands they receive to their credit card of choice for easy and safe transactions throughout the festival.”

Music

I mean, this seems like a no-brainer, but it’s true. This year’s #BudLightLiving #DigitalDreams lineup is bigger and better than every! “This year’s dynamic headliners include Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Bassnectar, Borgore, Danny Tenaglia, Knife Party, Pendulum, and UMEK. These artists, and many more, will be performing on 3 visually stunning stages in Toronto at the The Flats at Ontario Place on Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd.”

The full list of artists performing this year, for those of you who speak electronic music:

3LAU, Audien, Charlie Darker, Chocolate Puma, Christian Martin B2B Worthy, Chus & Ceballos, CID, Cosmic Gate, Dabin, Damian Lazarus, Datsik, Delta Heavy, Destructo, Dirtyphonics, Eli & Fur, Gareth Emery, Giddy, Greg Gow, GRiZ, Hannah Wants, Hermitude, Infected Mushroom, Jackal, MK (Marc Kinchen), Ookay, Rainer + Grimm, Seven Lions, Stefano Noferini, Thomas Gold, Tiga, Tritonal, and Xiiam.

Take a look at a video from last year’s festivities to see what I mean about the excitement and the energy!

“Since the festival’s creation in 2012, over 250,000 fans have attended the festival and experienced an incredible musical journey, fusing art with fashion and design. “Bud Light Digital Dreams has grown into more than just a music festival,” said Mark Russell, Project Manager at Live Nation. “We’ve created a two-day outdoor multi-stage celebration of culture, and we’re working this year alongside local arts communities to create a distinct presence and shared voice.””

So… Fashion, Food & Music are the three major reasons Julio and I can’t wait to see you on July 2 & 3 for #DigitalDreams. But DYK that this year, Bud Light Digital Dreams will ALSO be supporting MusiCounts, a charity dedicated to keeping music alive in schools and communities across Canada?

“MusiCounts’ mission is to ensure that children in Canada, regardless of socio-economic circumstances or cultural background, have access to a music program through their school or community. “We are so privileged to have such a dedicated and passionate fan base for our festival,” says Kyle Standaert, Festival Marketing Manager, Live Nation Canada. “Fans can feel good that not only are they buying into a shared experience, but that their ticket is also going towards helping create music in schools across Canada. MusiCounts is a natural fit for our festival, as we both share in the belief that music is an important element of culture and experience.” For every Bud Light Digital Dreams ticket bought, $1 is donated to the charity.

Remember to get your tickets before they sell out to join in on one of the best music festivals I have ever attended at digitaldreamsfestival.ca/tickets
