What do Rick Campanelli & Joshua Jackson Have in Common?

It’s Friday afternoon and I am sitting at the office making my cleaning list for this weekend – because apparently, I have become “that” person who makes lists again. Not that it’s a bad thing of course, since I am too busy for my own good with all things work related at the moment. Cleaning out my closet of gently used professional clothing  is something I have been putting off for a while.

Thankfully for me, the Moores Suit Drive is running until July 31st and it will allow me to give my gently used work attire  a new home that will make a difference to someone in need who is trying to enter the workforce. The donations from Drive are distributed nationally to more than 65 local recipient organizations that help disadvantaged men and women regain employment through job readiness programs, workforce assistance and gifting of professional attire.

I’m now realizing that supporting the Drive has become a proud #DoTheDaniel tradition over the past several years. Thinking of interviewing celebrity ambassadors of the Suit Drive of years past, to being a part of helping spread the word, along with my teenage heartthrob Joshua Jackson in 2018, makes me happy!

The Drive helps hundreds of thousands of  Canadians and reminds me that my choices and a few extra minutes of my day can help change the world with a small act of kindness. So this weekend, ladies and gents, head to your any of the 126 Moores locations across Canada and make a difference by cleaning out your closet! Plus you receive when you give!

AS A THANK-YOU FOR YOUR DONATION, YOU WILL RECEIVE A 50% COUPON.  So you can pay it forward and look great too! Restrictions apply. See terms.

As you get ready to donate, I hope you are just as inspired by the mission of the 9th annual #SuitDrive as I am:

“To empower men in need who are entering or re-entering the workforce to look their best by providing them with the necessary professional attire that will build their self-esteem during job interviews. This gives them the opportunity to walk into an interview with confidence – an essential step toward economic stability.”

The mission of the 9th annual #SuitDrive is the same as it has always been.

I always love seeing what celebrity this iconic brand works with year over year. The 9th annual #SuitDrive was kicked off earlier this month by the one and only Joshua Jackson right here in the heart of Toronto. I don’t think that I need a reward for a good deed, but it is a nice perk to know that in finding my clothing a new home, I can purchase new items from Moores that I can bring home and put to good use in my own life as well. And this goes for all of you out there looking to do the same with me before the end of the month.

To get inspired along with us, follow @MooresClothing on Twitter and Instagram, and ‘Like’ their Facebook page. Use the #SuitDrive hashtag when you share to show your support of this amazing cause. Because we love the cause so much, here are a few of our favourites from social media to say thank you to those Canadians who have, and will continue to donate this year.

For more behind the scenes of this and other amazing brands we are working with around the world, make sure to follow along with the #DoTheDaniel Instagram account. We would love to have you join on our adventures!
