For those of you who follow along on social media (@DoTheDaniel btw), you’ll have noticed that I recently became an uncle. My baby brother & his beautiful wife gave birth to their first born and the whole family couldn’t be happier to welcome baby Rebecca! I of course immediately started planning for baby gifts that would be both practical for first time parents but also beautiful for my niece. There are so many choices out there, from toys, booties, even a baby casting voucher which would have let them make a mold of the baby’s feet to keep forever. Although this would have been really cute, from what I’ve heard, the baby is quite fussy and probably would enjoy having to stay still for the mold. I decided to keep looking. I wanted to find items that would be useful but lovely for the new baby to have, so I checked out a list of the best baby products online to see what I could get and where I could get them from, I was in need of a lot of help in that department because you never know just what they like, but reviews from actual parents who have tried and tested them have helped so much.
When faced with buying baby essentials, be they for your own little ones or the additions via family and friends, I asked myself… did I have to settle on going to the big box baby stores? The answer is no. Thanks to Etsy Canada, I was able to create a parcel of baby must haves that are not only unique, but also support local businesses.
As you know, we are huge fans of Etsy Canada here at DoTheDaniel.com. Amanda has been an avid user of the app and website for years and has written amazing features such as here and here. She is actually the person that introduced me to Etsy in the first place (as well as Pinterest, and many other amazing tools that families across the country use!)
So when I wanted to get gifts for Rebecca and her parents that wouldn’t be so mass produced or stereotypical, there really was only one choice. Off to the Etsy Canada website I went! Being that I hadn’t used the website much, and I knew the amount of vendors that use Etsy, I decided to start easy.
Well that didn’t narrow much down for me, but it did help me to realize all the amazing vendors that sell baby items on Etsy Canada! Thankfully I was able to find some of my favourites including (but not limited to)
I can’t wait to see the reaction that my brother and his new family have to these beautiful one of a kind items. If you’re in the market for gifts for baby that are unique and made with love, there is nowhere else I would turn asides from Etsy Canada.
Shopping local is so important to me and if it is for you as well, you’ll be happy to know that each vendor is making their dreams come true one purchase at a time. Shipped right to your door and ready to put a smile on baby’s face, I encourage you to check out all these amazing items via Etsy Canada today. I know someone who makes their own products and sells them on sites like ebay and etsy. She loves doing it and she says there are so many great pieces of software like samcart vs clickfunnels that make her life easier.
